exhibition catalogue with flocked sandpaper cover, machine screw and hex nut binding, and satin ribbon bookmark
9 h × 11 w in (23 × 28 cm)
This work is from the first edition of 2500 printed by Toyo Press, Los Angeles and published by Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Ruscha designed this catalogue for an exhibition of works by his friend, Billy Al Bengston. The catalogue, with text by James Monte, accompanied an exhibition presented by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from November 16, 1968 - January 12, 1969. The exhibition traveled to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Work is in good condition. Minor toning to the interior pages. A few small losses to sandpaper along the extreme edges, otherwise, work presents well with only minor signs of handling.
