The current highest auction record for a similar paper work by Serebrjakowa is circa €160,000</p> <p><strong>Condition:</strong> The sheet is in good condition, showing a slight discoloration of the paper. The reverse is slightly damaged due to a former monunting. The frame shows only the lightest signs of use as well. As off around 1900, she attended lessons at private art schools and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Her teachers were Ilya Repin and Osip Braz. In 1910, she participated in an exhibition of the group ‘Mir Iskusstva’. Her painting ‘At the Dressing Table’ was so successful that it was purchased by the Tretyakov Gallery. In 1911, she joined the afore-mentioned group of painters. In 1924, she emigrated to France and received the French citizenship during the Second World War.
