Superb study for "Bathers in the palm grove, moonlight", the completed painting of which measures 100 x 81 cm and is kept in a private collection.
Étienne Dinet painted a whole series of naked young women, sitting or lying on a terrace, or on the edge of a wadi, or even under the oleanders. There are several preparatory drawings for “Bathers in the Palm Grove, Moonlight”. Our table is an illustration of this.
