I did not want to paint anymore. I thought that, after Duchamp, there was nothing more to be done. Until, leaving home one morning,
I saw a torn poster on the other side of the street. It was my enlightenment.
I would walk the streets of the city at night, tearing down these
colorful posters which were destined to become works of art.
