Inscribed with staging instructions lower left: “Über das ganze Bild schwarze Gitter, die am Schluss weggezogen werden. / auch auf dem Horizont. / Mitte ganz dunkel, Fenster.”
• The 1926 show was a then unknown new kind of theatre in which artists of various professions collaborated and worked in pioneering techniques
• Grosz" design was the prototype for a monumental projection and shows traces of the intense working process
• Beloved caricatures of the era are shown here in vivid colours
