"Come and see what i"ve got./Now Jane, what do you think of Eliza"./"She beautiful", said Mother, "but Frederick,/can you drive her". "Of course", said Father,/"you drive her just like a horse", and tomorrow/morning we"ll all go to Huddersfield"./On the opposite side of the road was Miss Carter/(who wore Pink) pretending not to see us. She is/saying "Good Evening" to Miss Maitland & her/mother. I could see Willie Murgatroyd & his/sister Annie & the Baby bringing home the shopping/from the Store. He always carried the flour/tied in a calico square on his head & the/year was 1908./Helen Layfield Bradley. 1967." (on the artist"s label attached to the reverse)
