Lowry R.A., The Hillingdon Press, Uxbridge, 1976, no.98, p.61 In 1930 Lowry was invited to make a series of drawings of the Ancoats district of Manchester. They were displayed in the Ancoats Settlement, a club for working men. Crowther's Buildings have since been demolished.
