Hans Purrmann takes us on one of his many trips to Italy in his work Houses Surrounded by Pine Trees.
The landscape painting is typical of the artist‘s oeuvre in its great colourfulness and careful composition. We gaze out at the Mediterranean view as if we were strolling through the town. The lightness and holiday atmosphere is transported through the translucent canvas and we can almost smell the pine trees as our gaze wanders across the canvas.
