Born in Hartford (United States) in 1928 - + New York 2007 Lines in four directions, 1990 By recreating this geographical motif already used in a series of works in 1971, Lewitt reduces the Wall to a state of simple support. The quadrilateral arrangement of the four directions evokes a sense of orientation and balance.
