Enrique Carbajal, better known as "Sebastian", is one of the most important Mexican sculptors of his generation. His work was generated at the same time as artistic trends such as minimalism, op-art and pop art were originating. In particular, his constructive vocation, fueled by the principles of kinetic art, was initially expressed in the creation of transformable or unfoldable sculptures, among which his flexible cubes named "Leonardo", "Dürer" and "Brancusi" constitute an unrivalled example of scientific disciplines such as mathematics and geometry.
In addition to making sculptures of large, medium and small formats, his production also includes pictorial work, as well as architectural designs, objects, furniture, jewellery, theatre costumes, stage sets and multimedia shows.
