Guillermo Kuitca is one of the most promising contemporary artists in Latin America. His work is based on architectural, theatrical and cartographic elements and has characteristics that come from psychoanalysis, the music of Richard Wagner, Judaism, the work of Pina Bausch and the literature of Jorge Luis Borges.
He participated in the São Paulo Biennial in 1989 and has exhibited in the most prominent international art spaces such as the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London, the Fondation Cartier in Paris, the Reina Sofía Art Center in Madrid and the Museum of Latin American Art in Buenos Aires.
