With a constructive vocation, since the mid-1960s, Sebastian began the development of his artistic language, relying on his work with scientific disciplines such as mathematics and geometry, approaching topology and crystallography. In addition to making sculptures, his production also includes architectural design, painting, object design, furniture, jewelry, theatrical costume design and stage sets. Throughout his successful career he has been recognized with numerous distinctions, being elected as a member of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in the Netherlands in 1983 and awarded Doctor Honoris Causa by The City College of the City University in New York in 2008. He has also exhibited in major museums in Mexico and his work can be found in numerous collections internationally.
