The contact sheet includes the images from plates 35 to 69 of the 104 photographs selected by Man Ray for his first photobook in 1934. These include some of his most famous images, now icons of photographic history, such as ‘Noire et Blanche (Kiki and the Mask)", the self-portrait with the camera, portraits of Lee Miller, Jaqueline Goddard and Meret Oppenheim, Salvador Dali and Gertrude Stein.
Condition report: With creases and handling marks. Glossy paper. Crease running down the centre of the page. Right-hand half with a diagonal crease over the height of the sheet. Upper third, 7.8 cm from the top edge with a weaker crease mark across the width of the sheet. Further minor crease marks and handling traces. Corners and edges slightly bumped.
